Fred Tucker Season of Prayer and Giving
The Annual Fred Tucker Season of Prayer and Giving is a special time for LRBA churches to come together in prayer, partnership, and generosity for the sake of associational missions throughout the Louisville region.
At the heart of this season is prayer. Over eight days, churches are invited to participate in guided prayer prompts focused on the work of the association, the partnership of local churches, and the people and needs within our city. Together, we will pray for schools, teachers, administrators, families, children, those struggling with addiction, those experiencing homelessness, those at risk of being trafficked, and refugees who are finding their way in a new culture and community.
As we pray, we ask God to work in the lives of people across our region and to help our churches remain mindful of the mission before us: reaching our neighbors with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Giving That Supports Mission
During this season, many churches will also collect the Fred Tucker Offering. One hundred percent of this offering goes toward missions and ministry grants, as well as promoting and continuing the offering itself.
Funds given through the Fred Tucker Offering are combined with earnings from LRBA endowments and used to support grants each year. These grants help churches engaged in community outreach, legacy mission partners, and other ministry partners doing meaningful gospel-centered work throughout the city.
Multiplying Kingdom Impact
The Fred Tucker Offering is an opportunity for your church to invest in the broader “Jerusalem” work happening here in the Louisville region.
Since last year, $69,500 has been awarded through grants and incentive grants. Over the last five years, more than $431,000 has been given in grants to support missions and ministry efforts across our community.
When churches give together, the impact is multiplied for the kingdom.
