LRBA MISSION & MINISTRY INSTRUCTIONS FOR GRANT APPLICATIONS
The purpose of these grants is to support the missions and ministry activities of the LRBA churches and partner ministries.
Please note the following:
Applicants must file an application form annually, found online at http://www.lrba.org.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Affiliation with LRBA: Priority for grant funding will be given to churches affiliated with the Louisville Regional Baptist Association. Affiliation status will be verified prior to grant consideration.

2. Non-Affiliated Churches/Ministries: Churches/ministries in pursuit of affiliation, connected to an affiliated church, or of like-minded status may be considered for grant funds at the discretion of the Mission and Ministry Team. However, priority of funds will be given to affiliated churches.

3. Doctrine: For churches, there is agreement with an approved doctrinal statement of the LRBA (Baptist Faith and Message, Philadelphia Confession, or New Hampshire Confession), and/or answers to Theological Questionnaire.

4. Project Alignment: Proposed projects must align with LRBA’s mission of community engagement and outreach. Projects require church participation. Projects may include but are not limited to:
  – Social services programs
  – Youth outreach and development initiatives
  – Education and literacy programs
  – Health and wellness initiatives
  – Community events and activities
  – Economic empowerment projects
  – Refugee Engagement

5. Sustainability: Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the sustainability and long-term impact of their proposed project beyond the grant period.

6. Returning Applicants: Returning applicants must give evidence of effective use of previous funds or include an explanation as to limited effectiveness and expectation of improved effectiveness for the current grant cycle. In addition, returning applicants must have submitted all necessary reporting for previous grant cycle.

7. Leadership: Effective leadership is marked by integrity, collaboration, and accountability. Leaders operate under the authority of a Board or church, emphasize financial stewardship, and equip others to lead. They participate in peer accountability to strengthen their walk with Christ and ensure ministry relevancy.

8. Applications must be postmarked or e-stamped by December 15.

9. A Federal Tax Identification Number must be provided.
Allocation requests must be made annually and past funding is not a guarantee of future funding.
