Community Engagement
We view Community Engagement as a vital component of our mission to help churches authentically live out the Gospel in their local contexts. The LRBA focuses on helping its network of churches understand the unique mix of assets and needs within their respective communities, enabling them to build bridges for ministry and genuinely serve their neighbors. To facilitate this outreach, the LRBA offers Ministry Grants to provide financial assistance for church-led projects, which often include social services, youth initiatives, education and literacy programs, and refugee engagement. We also provide access to two evangelistic Block Party Trailers to help maximize community outreach events. Furthermore, the LRBA partners with several Legacy Ministries—such as the Baptist Fellowship Center and Re:Center Ministries (for the homeless)—and other local Kingdom Partners, allowing churches to combine resources and maximize their collective impact on the lostness of the greater Louisville area.
